Get Your Loan Promise First

Before you start looking at properties, get a loan promise (lånelöfte) from your bank. This tells you exactly how much you can borrow and makes you a serious buyer in the eyes of sellers.

Negotiate Your Interest Rate

The advertised rate is just the starting point. Banks expect you to negotiate. Get quotes from 2-3 banks and use them as leverage. Even 0.1% lower can save thousands over the life of your loan.

Understand Your Total Monthly Cost
